2 Cold Pressed Juicing Recipes for better Health

Juices are in our daily diets, some consume carbonated juices, and others consume fresh juices. These carbonated energy juices are refreshing, energetic and delicious drinks that everyone can enjoy them, even children. Do you ever consider that are they healthy? No, they are not; they are rich in sugar, sodium and excess calories. Consumption of these unhealthy drinks cause dehydration, high-sugar intake, and weight gain and calcium depletion. These juices are poison!

Therefore if you care for your health and don’t want to destroy it, than the fresh juices are the right option for you. Fresh juices are far better than these carbonated juices. They are healthy, filled with nutrients, enzymes and minerals. There are two main resources from where you can have these fresh juices of fruits or vegetables: you can buy them from super markets or you can even prepare them at home. Among these two options, preparing these juices at home is the best option, believe me. They taste much more better than preserved juices at markets and are rich in texture and smooth. Moreover, you can be fully ensured that you are in-taking one hundred percent fresh juice of fruit or vegetable, without any preservatives or harmful chemicals.
Now, how are we supposed to prepare fresh juices at home? There are usually two types of juicers: a cold press juicer or a centrifugal juicer and a centrifugal juicer. Among these two a cold press juicer is far better than a centrifugal juicer because it uses two techniques to extract juice from the fruit and vegetable. First, it shred the fruit or vegetable than apply high hydraulic pressure that extracts almost all the juice with damaging any mineral and enzymes, providing you with one hundred percent fresh juice.

That is why today we will be discussing few fresh juices recipes, which will be prepared from a cold press juicer.

What Factors to Consider Before Blender Purchasing

Blender is quite a handy piece of kitchen appliance that is convenient to use, convenient to clean and provides its utility in countless kitchen tasks. Almost everyone owns one these days as it makes work so much easier for you. If you are a fan of smoothies and milkshakes, blender is the key to delicious, nutritious, homemade smoothies. If you are now thinking that if blenders are only for making smoothies and milkshakes they not worth spending money on, you are wrong! They can do so much more! Making sauces, soups, dips, dressings, gravy, pancake batter has all become so much simpler with the addition of this one appliance in the kitchen.

If you have decided to buy a blender, your job in finding the right one for yourself will be quite hard as there is so much variety available in the market. The choice between them can be quite a tough one. Here are some features to keep in mind when you are out looking for a blender to buy:

What type of Blender you should Buy?

One of the most important and foremost decision you need to make is between the types of blenders. There are two basic types available in the market: countertop and immersion blender. Immersion blenders are a preferred choice for soups and sauces, but they come with lower wattage so they cannot process hard foods. On the upside, they generally cost less than countertop benders. Countertop blenders are the best choice for making smoothies and milkshakes. The good quality ones can process hard foods and some even come with ice crushing capabilities.

Capacity:

Capacity is not an issue with immersion blenders as they can be immersed in any pot or container. But if you are buying a countertop blender you will have to decide what size to buy depending on how much amount you cook on a daily basis and how much countertop space you have available in your kitchen. Immersion blenders are most suitable for smaller kitchens.

Features:

Consider the features you want in your blender. For example variable speed options add precision to the blending task. However, 2 speeds with a pulse option are suitable for most blending jobs. Some come with pre-programmed settings for smoothies, juices etc. Some advanced models come with ice-crushing capabilities. Some also come with separate jug and blade for processing dry foods like coffee and nuts.

Power:

Power is an important consideration when buying a blender. Higher wattage means the blender can handle tougher tasks like crushing ice or grinding nuts. If you are a fan of frozen drinks, choose a blender with at least 500 watts so that it can process frozen fruits and vegetables and ice.

Warranty:

Most good quality blenders give at least a year warranty. Some high-end, heavy duty blenders offer even longer warranties than that. Choose a blender with a good warranty so that you don’t have to worry about any damage.

What Things a Food Processor Must have

The times are long gone when food processors used to be an appliance for the elite or the professionals. The reason is that they are now as easily accessible to common people as the wealthy since so many brands and varieties are now available. Even those who cannot afford the most expensive varieties can find a good deal which delivers most of the essential functions. Out of the large variety available it’s not possible to pick one best food processor. Every cook has his own unique preference which is why the best food processor for one might not be such a great pick for the other. However, there are some common qualities which everyone should keep a look out for when trying to find a good food processor:

Good wattage:

A good motor wattage reflects a stronger food processor which can work with tougher ingredients such as nuts, meat and dough. It also means that it will get the job done much quicker than a food processor with a lower wattage. You will require a food processor with wattage of at least 700 watts if you want it to be able to perform most of the tasks without seizing.

Simple control system:

There is no need for a complex control system which you will have trouble understanding later or explaining it to someone else who is operating your machine. Most of the food processors have two speed options: high and low. Good ones also include a very useful pulse option which gives short bursts of power for tasks that require only momentary processing.

Capacity:

There is a wide range of sizes to choose from with cup sizes as big as 16 cups to process food for multiple families and as small as 2 cups to feed one or two persons. Now you need to sit and consider the amount of food you normally cook. Always buy a size that’s a bit larger than what you really need since on an occasion when you want to process larger amounts like when you have guests over, you wouldn’t want to empty the bowl and repeat the processing steps multiple times because of the small size of the bowl. Some food processors come with multiple bowls of different sizes. You will find these ones highly convenient since you can use the smaller bowl for processing sauces, dips etc and larger ones for processing family meals.

Easy cleanup:

This is another very important consideration which you cannot afford to overlook. Nobody wants a kitchen tool which gets the job done quickly but takes ages to clean up! Before buying a food processor, you should see to it that the parts are easy to detach and clean with little or no grooves and niches where the food might get stuck and become hard to remove.

Good warranty:

The warranty of a best food processor reflects its quality. If a manufacturer gives a long term warranty for a food processor, it suggests that the appliance is built to last. The finest food processors come with warranties as long as 7 years or even more but they are also quite expensive. If you want a cheaper option, you should at least look for a warranty of 1 year or more. Anything less than that is not worth spending money on.

Useful Accessories:

A food processor typically comes with an array of attachments to help with different processing tasks involved in the preparation of food. You will need to consider the types of food you normally cook and the accessories which might be useful for you. It’s not wise to pay for a bunch of attachments that will not even come in use.

Be careful when you pick a food processor because it should be an investment that provides a service you are satisfied with for many years before considering to replace it. Although these points will help you select a great food processor, it does not cover everything there is to know about food processors.
